Echo Tec has upgraded the reliable Titanium plunger high pressure pump to a new direct coupled pump design mounted on silent blocks for an even quieter operation. The new pump comes with a lifetime warranty. The manufacturer is so confident about the durability of the systems, the limited warranty has been increased to three years on all other parts and components except consumables. Also, the variety of the model range has been increased by two high output 24V DC watermakers with a production of up to 32 GPH/120 LPH and a brand new low power consumption AC system line that can be powered by generators or inverters of only 1.5KW and 2.5KW.

CHOICE OF SYSTEM
 
  • DC (House Batteries) -12 Volt or 24 Volt – Like most refrigeration systems - runs off your batteries. Can be turned on anytime but bias is to only run when batteries are being charged – when plenty of power is readily available. Energy efficient models can be run off solar panels. SEE MORE
  • Belt Driven - Directly Attached to Engine – The way all refrigeration systems used to be – with a pump powered directly by the boat's main engine – another belt like the alternator. By far the most efficient system – a pump with all that power driving it produces lots of water. SEE MORE

All ECHOTec. systems are built with the highest quality materials and components - proven to withstand continuous duty in a harsh marine environment. 

The ceramic piston triplex plunger pumps are known to be the most reliable high pressure pumps available on today's market.  The ECHOTec. pump is a low revolution (570 RPM) 316 Ti (Titanium) stainless steel version, driven by a highly efficient permanent magnet motor, designed for continuous duty under tropical conditions.  A sturdy low friction timing belt system transmits the power for a cool and quiet operation.

For energy efficiency we offer our new 200-DML-1 – produces 8.4 gal/hr (32 l/hr) while drawing 19.8 amps @ 12V - can by run while batteries are being fed by solar panels or wind generator. At the same price the 260-DML-1 produces 50% more water but uses double the power - best to use when the engine operating.

BELT DRIVEN - Powered by the Engine

A breakthrough for such engine driven systems is ECHOTec’s automatic pressure regulating valve, that ensures constant pressure while the engine RPM is changing – can easily turn on the watermaker any time the engine is running – even when maneuvering the boat and constantly changing the throttle.
The installation requires the replacement of the pulley attachment to the engine with a larger one – to include another belt – the same hub that provides belts for the alternator and the engine cooling water pump – will also include a belt for the watermaker – eg – a 2 belt pulley hub to be replaced by a 3 belt pulley hub. Also needed is enough space nearby for the ECHOTec pump - approximately 9 in. X 9 in. X 9 in. (9 in. = 23 cm.)(see diagram below for specifics) – just like a second alternator – probably on the opposite side of the engine as the alternator.
All ECHOTec systems are built with the highest quality materials and components - proven to withstand continuous duty in a harsh marine environment. The ceramic piston triplex plunger pumps are made of titanium stainless steel (316Ti). They run quiet and cool - operate at low speeds - and known to be the most reliable high pressure pumps available. 

The belt driven systems are ideal. They run directly from the boat’s main engine - perfect for this pump as the engine can deliver plenty of power. If the main engine is run more than once a week then a belt driven system is very practical. They produce 20 - 60 gallons per hour of fresh water without any drain to the batteries. For example, model 500-BML-1 produces a remarkable 20 gal/hr (76 l/hr) with only one 40” pressure vessel/membrane.

Powered by Small Generator or Inverter - Under 4.5KW - Modular 

These models are engineered for power efficiency.

A ceramic piston plunger pump housed in titanium reinforced stainless steel (316Ti) triplex is the heart of the system. Triplex plunger pumps are known to be the most reliable high pressure pumps available on today's market. The ECHO Tec. pump is a low revolution version (975RPM) driven by a highly efficient NEMA Premium WATTSAVER AC Motor designed for continuous duty under tropical conditions. A sturdy low friction timing belt system transmits the power.

Only highest quality components that have proven to withstand continuous duty in a harsh marine environment are selected. All wetted components including the patented true regulating pressure valve, all O-ring sealed high pressure fittings and the membrane vessel end caps are made of 316 Ti stainless steel.

For sailing or motor yachts with generators of 4.5 KW or more the ECHO Tec series AML/S with 50 or 60 Hz AC motors is the right choice.
The highly efficient epoxy and polyurethane coated, totally enclosed capacitor-start-capacitor-run motors are designed for continuous duty under tropical conditions.

The ECHO Tec. PRO series is designed for ultimate reliability and easy operation. It supplies small to medium sized commercial vessels and larger yachts with 20 to 60 gallons (75 to 227 liters) per hour  - up to 1,500 gal./day (5,600 l./day) of high quality potable water.

The semi modular bulkhead mount system or the self-contained vertical framed system with a footprint of only 27.5 in. x 18 in. are space saving and easy to install.
